  • General Pharmacology:
    I have been working with the pharmacological testing of the materials of plants and synthetic origin by standard techniques employed for hypnotic, tranquilizing, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti- pyretic and other pharmacological activities.

  • Special Techniques:
  • Heart- lung preparation in dogs.
  • Cross - circulation experiments, like isolated head, isolated hindquarters and coronary perfusion using sigma motor pump for contrast rate of perfusion. Isolated head is mainly used confirming central effects of drugs.
  • Experimental cardiac arrhythmias by various conventional methods also by central administration of aconitine.
  • Neuropharmacological work related to C.V.S by intra-cerebroventricular (I.C.V) spinal compression vasomotor response (S.C.V.R.) techniques.
  • Cannulation of adrenal veins for collecting blood, after drugs to study their effect on catecholamine levels.
  • Drug dependence studies in experimental models.
  • Experimental models where stress- induced effects are recorded e.g. Restraint ulcer in rats etc.

  • Clinical pharmacology studies in human subjects.
  • Advance biotechnological studies on free radicals, receptors and neurohumor, immunomodulator etc. using plant medicine.
