Vishwakarma pooja: This prayer is a tribute to pay our gratitude to lord Vishwakarma which is being celebrated every year on 17th of September. We pay him tribute by offering him the prayer on the same day and by giving rest to the tools we use round the year for our production.
According to Rig Veda, Vishwarma is the divine architect of the whole universe. He is also the personification of the creative power that welds heaven and earth together. He is the son of Brahma and is the official architect of all gods’ palaces.
Lord Vishwakarma is the creator of all the flying chariots of the gods, all the weapons are his creation. It was Vishwakarma who built the golden city of Lanka, over the king Ravana ruled. He also built the city of Dwarka, the capitol of Lord Krishna after the latter had left Mathura .
Mahabharat describes him as the Lord of the arts, executor of the thousand handicrafts, the carpenter of the gods, the most eminent of artisans, the fashioner of all ornaments, He is being considered as a great immortal god .
