ORGANIC INDIA is committed to set new standards of quality, honesty and integrity in the Ayurvedic and Natural Foods industry. We are amongst the few herbal companies in India to receive SQF, HACCP, GMP, ISO 9001:2000 and Kosher certifications. We have organic certifications from Skal International and Ecocert International as per USDA, EU and NPOP organic production standards. We are also certified Biodynamic by Demeter International (Germany).

ORGANIC INDIA's unique processing methods and advanced dehydration technologies ensure the maximum retention of beneficial healing properties, nutritional values and essential oils, true to our commitment to offer the highest quality products. We employ in-house and outsourced microbiological testing during all phases of processing our products.

Protection of the cell matrix is of high importance, and for that reason leaf herbs, such as Tulsi, are gently sheared at low temperatures into flakes, rather than fine powder, to better preserve the delicate cell matrix, the active constituents and the flavor of the herbs. Herbs for our Herbal Formulations are gently ground with attention to preserve the integrity of the herb and to insure efficient digestibility and nutritional bio-availability. We protect the original and natural composition of the herb, which we feel offers the optimum benefits in the most natural way.

ORGANIC INDIA is the first company in India to use pure vegetarian capsules rather than the standard gelatin capsules, which are made from animal by-products.

ORGANIC INDIA currently has a farmer base of over 10,000 farmers, which is expected to grow to more than 30,000 farmers during 2005/2006. We have organic cultivation on over 50,000 acres of land with expected expansion to over 100,000 acres during 2005/2006. It is our commitment to continue to expand throughout India in order to offer more and more opportunities for more people to join our ORGANIC INDIA organic revolution. The radiant faces, lively children, healthy livestock and fertile fields and forests are the source of our fulfillment and strength to carry on and expand this great vision and mission.

We go into the forests and the mountains to work with tribal wild crafters and educate and train them in hygienic and environmentally sustainable methods of procurement of all the fruits, herbs and crops that grow in their area. Therefore we are able to offer training and skills to produce a sustainable income, hire them to work with us, and engage with them in a work that preserves their natural habitats.

ORGANIC INDIA farmers are given high quality organic seed for the crops they grow for us on their own land. The organic seed material is distributed under strict supervision to ensure adherence to our international certification standards.

ORGANIC INDIA's main production facilities are located at the outskirts of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, in the fertile plains of northern India. ORGANIC INDIA's buildings and grounds have been beautifully designed in accordance with vaastu shastra principles of harmonious architecture. We have a peaceful meditative temple area for employees and visitors at the plant, and sacred Indian music is played throughout the buildings and on the grounds.
