Tulsi Mahotsava is the celebration and honour of the revered Tulsi plant from which much of the work of ORGANIC INDIA stems. Even the Tulsi plant itself, known as the embodiment of Vishnu 'The Preserver' represents conscious sustainability. It is all about paying our tribute to mother goddess Tulsi, celebrating the success of togetherness and growth, moving ahead towards the sustainable growth in farming, rewarding our farmers, employees and associates, serving our mother earth devotionally and dedicatedly.
The story of organizing “Tulsi Mahotsava" as an ORGANIC INDIA's annual event dedicated to motivate farmers associated with us and share our annual success story with one and all begun in 2003 with a handful of beautiful farmers, employees and our associates from worldwide. Since then our "Tulsi Mahotsava" has grabbed the attention of millions globally.
Tulsi Mahotsava is celebrated at the end of the Tulsi harvest in our state of the art facilities between the lush green fields of Azamgarh (a small town) in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. Azamgarh is 320 km from the state capital Lucknow and well linked with Varanasi (Kashi)
The 4th TULSI MAHOTSAVA was celebrated on 18th November '06 at our facilities in Azamgarh situated in the midst of 13 villages of Tulsi farmers whose lives have been transformed through Organic Agriculture and ORGANIC INDIA's programme for Conscious Sustainable Living. Tulsi Mahotsava at its fourth year is supported by 1st ORGANIC INDIA World Forum, a conference on "Conscious Sustainable Living through Organic Agriculture". The Mahotsava is expected to be attended by an estimated 8000 peoples including Farmers from all India, associates, guests from all over the world, board of directors and employees of ORGANIC INDIA.
