Lucknow: Does your routine cup of tea does not offer any rejuvenation or you are bored with the stale taste of tea? Your worries have been taken care of by a city-based industrial unit. The unit is offering herbal 'Tulsi' tea which instead of your routine tea offers health benefits besides great taste and a great stress reliever.
Already, the Tulsi tea is being exported to USA, several European countries including Germany, Czech Republic and Sweden besides Australia, Israel and Japan.
ORGANIC INDIA, the city-based company, procures
Tulsi from Azamgarh where marginal farmers cultivate it through
organic farming sans any chemicals or insecticides. Managing Director
Krishan Guptaa claimed that they took care to get three varieties
of Tulsi including Rama, Vana and Krishna which were blended with
other raw materials.
Interestingly, Guptaa refused to call the product as tea. "It is like tea but not tea in real sense. There is no need to add sugar, milk as it tastes good without them. There is no need for constant boiling too." Prices at US $5 for foreign markets, the Tulsi Tea is being well received by the people.
"The Tulsi is termed as queen of herbs as it has medicinal importance. Indians are already using it but the features have been commercially exploited by us," he added.
He said that the seasonal viral infections as cough, fever, common cold could be prevented with regular intake of Tulsi Tea.
